The pasture of Cerasa is located about 960 m. s.l.m. in the municipality of Pieve Fosciana, on the Tosco Emiliano Apennines. The surface, totaling 35 hectares, is located in the territory of the Agricultural Heritage sites Forest of the Tuscany Region, in reliance on the Mountain Community of Garfagnana, and includes about 25 hectares of beech forest, 3 hectares of chestnut wood and 7 hectares of pasture.
There are bred ewes white garfagnina for the production of meat, cheese and wool. The chestnut grove produces fruit and chestnut flour. It is possible to organize educational acrivities for schools and groups. At the home of the shepherds you can stop for lunch, by reservation.
